I’m a huge fan of Twitter. In fact, I tweet probably 5 times a day, if not more. Despite all the negative press it’s received lately, I find the social networking/”microbloggingy thingy” (see video link below if you don’t know what I’m talking about) to be incredibly interesting and have made many ‘friends’ on there since I joined up last year. They’re all friends-of-friends, people connected to friends I already knew IRL and I have to say, they’re some of the nicest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of talking to.
I had barely gotten into blogging before I discovered Twitter (yeah, I know, I’m late to the party, as usual). It’s just so much easier to write a 140 character mini-’blog’ about stuff instead of writing some long-winded blog post. Although, blogging could probably be considered a lot more satisfying. And sure, everything has its’ place – I wouldn’t go spouting off about a topic on Twitter, having a really long rant, whatever my complaint or praise may be. Then again, if I think of something on the bus, and I just want to get it down, Twitter is right there.
And yes, I mean right there – being a recent owner of an iPhone I have become addicted to Tweeting every few hours (if not minutes). Little did I know my 3G was broken, so now having gotten that fixed, I am now constantly able to check my Twittersphere as much as I want That actually may not be such a good thing…
I am also a queen of procrastination, and BOY is Twitter a tool by which to put off whatever you do, but don’t, want to do. So for your enjoyment, here are some neat animations about procrastination. I hope you like them and that they help you rid yourself of the procrastination bug.
